Written on Dec 26th, after the “holidays come and go”, a line from the second line of the song. That period of time when we have new years to look forward to but it’s the beginning of when I enter the deep winter months - and the pull to introvert is strong. This song is a letter to my mom and dad quite literally reminding them to not worry about me. I am no stranger of aloneness and sometimes that can turn into loneliness. Longing for a partner has been a strong force behind my longing which creates the depth and ache which you can hear in the lyrics “don’t want loneliness to be my legacy”. There is redemption and an openness to a new world emerging where there is a remembrance that we can be one with God and Spirit.
